If the People Know What's In the Legislation, They Might Not Support It.

Chris Dodd, (D. Conn.), basically used the excuse of two wrongs does, in deed, make a right by saying that since Congress has passed legislation without really paying attention to its impact in the past, the health care bill should be no different. This is, again, a sign of the practices which have taken place since January where every piece of major legislation, especially if it has a social agenda, must be passed quickly and without delay or discussion. President Obama routinely says how it has to happen now. Anyone notice just how quickly two huge corporations, GM and Chrysler, just went through their bankruptcies? I imagine if the American people had enough time to recognize exactly what occurred in those two cases, not the least of which was the sweeping aside of federal law by the administration, there would be a lot more outrage. Speed kills.
