It's not just the conservatives out there that notices something a bit suspicious about the timing of all this. Former President Bill Clinton expressed a similar suspicion.
In the United Kingdom's parlimentary system, the opposing coalition or party often refers to itself as the shadow government. Under Barack Obama and previous government expansionist presidents, democracy itself has become the shadow government, the party of opposition laying in wait in the hope that it can take over some day.

Senator Kevin Parker Reveals What Most Liberals Think
New York State Senator Kevin Parker (D.) today went on a race-based rant accusing Republicans of being white supremacists. When you spend all your time calling anyone who disagrees with you a racist, eventually you're going to believe it.

Apparently Tea Bagging Wasn't Enough of an Insult
ACORN leader Bertha Lewis referred to the Tea Parties as "a bowel movement" and claimed "they are coming after you". "You", of course, referred to her audience, the Young Democratic Socialists. Luckily our President had almost nothing to do with ACORN. That is, unless you actually look at his past statements and actions.
Just When I Think I've Seen the Lowest of the Low...
Along comes another public employee to show me I haven't seen anything from the realm of disgusting just yet. Shouldn't she have been at work?
What are You Doing for Earth Day?
I, for one, have removed the catalytic converter from my car. I now emit a smokescreen behind me reminiscent of a spy movie. I also left the lights on at my home and set the air conditioner on 32 degrees. I turned on an old laptop at work that I don't use anymore just to have it on. Later today, I hope to strangle a hippy.
Happy Earth Day!!
Goldman-Sachs and the Financial Reform Ruse
I was holding off on posting anything about this because the evidence was too tenuous and the reports too speculative for me to think there was anything solid enough to merit writing about. However, today things became a bit more solid.
Originally, there was speculation, and not unreasonably so, that the timing of the Security Exchange Commission civil suit against Goldman-Sachs was too close in preceding the President's push for a financial reform bill to be coincidence. Now it has been revealed that at the same time as Goldman-Sachs attorneys were negotiating with the SEC over the civil suit, the CEO of Goldman-Sachs was visiting the White House on a regular basis. At the same time as the administration is demonizing financial institutions and the charges were set forth against Goldman-Sachs, President Obama has refused to return the nearly $1 million in campaign donations he received from them.
While there still does not appear to be a smoking gun that the case was discussed at the meetings with President Obama and Larry Summers, this stinks to high heaven. Given the history of this administration, an investigation would be appropriate.
And of Course, Even More Taxes
The recently revealed Democratic budget proposal would contain...you guessed it, higher taxes. Luckily, it's designed to help them spend more on economic killing policies. Did IQ's drop massively in the last 30 years?
I'll Give You One Guess Who is Going to Get Fat on this Tax
The International Monetary Fund has proposed a world wide tax on all financial institutions on both profits and pay. This financial activities tax (FAT) is designed to deal with the problem of financial institutions getting too big. Can anyone name a financial institution bigger than a government? What makes a bunch of bureaucrats think they aren't just going to make things worse, which they usually do? The term "sovereignty" seems to have almost as much meaning to world governing body as the word "constitutional" means to President Obama.

Welcome to the Brownshirts!
I've never been very comfortable with President Obama's organizing tactics including youth mobilization as it always sounded more like brownshirts than what the liberals were accusing the tea partiers of being. Especially given the President's creepy speeches about a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, strong and well funded as our military. Sounds like a way to get around Posse Comitatus which limits the ability of the federal government to use the armed forces for law enforcement issues. Well, sign up now for your Organizing for America training camps! You too can train to go tell people about the wonders of our President! Now I don't like to think of myself as paranoid, but really, isn't all this taken together just seem a bit too 1930's?
Ahem, Well, What I Really Meant Was...
I've stated before that I believe our President is a pathological liar. He has once again shown this tendency. When the idea was first floated of a possible value added tax (a federal sales tax essentially) the Obama administration took pains to distance itself from the comments. Well, true to form, President Obama has indicated that a VAT is still an option (which in liberal speak means he's going to propose one, it is a tax after all).
Why can't these people realize that it's not the income that's the problem, it's the spending, stupid.
Where's Michael Moore and his Snide Golf Remarks Now?
President Bush was often criticized about playing too much golf. President Obama has not received any such criticism, at least not in the U.S.A. Strangely, President Obama has, as of yesterday, played 32 rounds of golf in just over a year in office compared to President Bush's 24 rounds in all eight years. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to criticize President Obama for playing golf, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy in the media.

Apparently Everything is Now a Right in Europe
The European Union has declared that vacationing for tourism is a human right that should be subsidized by the taxpayers. I really wish that was a joke.

Finally, President Clinton Has Done Something More Disgusting Than Monica
Former President Bill Clinton, apparently scared to death about the fact that no sort of violence came from the Tea Party protests on April 15 has apparently decided just to go ahead and brand their rhetoric as inspirational of terrorism. It's good to know that my opposition to a big, wasteful government might turn any moment into a murderous rage. Guess I'll just shut up and take it.
Incredible Condescension and Arrogance
President Barack Obama has shown his disregard for average Americans before. He dismissively referred to small town people clinging to religion and their guns. He mocked then Massachusetts Senate candidate Scott Brown's truck. But this latest one absolutely pisses me off. At the Miami fundraiser I mentioned in a previous post the President, talking about the Tea Parties occurring earlier that day, said he thought they should be thanking him for all the tax breaks. I have never seen such overt and outrageous derision, disregard and condescension towards a group of Americans by their elected leader. This obnoxious jackass thinks he is so much smarter than everyone else yet when he's off teleprompter, he's a train wreck. The man can't even answer who his favorite White Sox player is. As I noted in an earlier post, it appears he's a lawyer who can't even write. I would love the chance to debate this rank amateur idiot about almost anything just to try and put him in his place. They say pride comes before a fall. If that holds true, this man is going to leave an impact crater.

Science Deniers to Push Through Opinion Denying Bill to Benefit all of Hypothetical Mankind and Save Perfectly Safe Planet
Senator Lindsey Graham (RINO, S.C.), Senator Joseph Lieberman (I., insomuch as he believes in a national defense for a citizenry that the government should raise from cradle to grave, a man who put the "con" in Conn.), and Senator John "Luckily I had a video camera with me all three months in Vietnam and my shipmates let me fill out the reports that resulted in my medals but George Bush was a deserter" Kerry (D., Theresa Heinz-Kerry's house), have joined together to come up with their own climate bill. It's a shame. They're one short of being the four horseman. Climate-gate, logic, reason, recession and public opinion be damned, they're looking to raise taxes to stop those evil polluting pricks that put out that horrific gas that plants use to live.
Conservatism, deficit and debt reduction, smaller government...all of these things will never prevail if we have morons like Graham and politicians that are more receptive to politics than truth.
How Would You Prefer to Remember This Day
Is this Tax Day? Or would you rather remember this as the day Jackie Robinson, the first black man to play in the Major Leagues, made his debut? I say Jackie Robinson.
Whether We Like it or Not, We Should Not Parse a Sentence Just to Criticize the President
"Whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower, and when conflicts break out, one way or another, we get pulled into them." - President Barack Obama, at the recent Nuclear Summit.
There is plenty to criticize about President Obama. There is plenty to criticize about his foreign policy. There is plenty to criticize about his national defense policy. There is plenty to criticize about his attitudes of symbolism over substance. There is plenty to criticize about his attitude towards America and the concept that this is an exceptional country. And don't even get me started on how asinine the nuclear summit was in the first place or the trumpeted success in the media.
But the criticism that many have leveled at that first statement, saying that "whether we like it or not" modifies the phrase "we remain a dominant military superpower" rather than modifying "we get pulled into them (conflicts)" is stretching. The credibility of critics will be strained to ideological bickering if we make these kinds of reaches.
Biden Shows How to Really Pitch in and Get Your Skin in the Game
Vice President Joe Biden (D. lala land) showed his civic mindedness in the same manner he usually does, by donating a whopping 1.44% of his income this year to charity in concert with his wife. You may remember that Biden and his wife averaged a staggering $369.00 per year in charitable donations leading into this tax year. I suppose I should give him credit. Clearly he believes government is the only way to support those who can't support themselves. He sure as shit isn't going to do it.

How Long Until They Start Swimming Back
Cubans will often risk the crossing to the United States on little more than a piece of wood to escape the policies and poverty of Cuban Communist dictator Fidel Castro. So what do they think of President Barack Obama's policies? Enough to reject a prominent and beloved member of the Cuban-American community for throwing him a fundraiser. Some are going so far as to say that their going to throw away their old Gloria Estefan CD's after hearing she'd be hosting a $30,400 per plate fundraiser for the Democratic Party while hosting the President.
How do you tell a Communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin. - President Ronald Reagan.
A Brief History of Violence
Great movie, even if uber-liberal moron Vigo Mortenson is the star. In any case, check out this article from last December by Michelle Malkin detailing the violence from the left.
America's Past Time: Wasting America's Time
It was bad enough that Congress has been constantly threatening to have hearings on the NCAA Football Division I Bowl Championship hearings since 2005. They also felt the need to hold hearings and spend money producing the Mitchell Report on steroids in baseball. Now, despite all the other things Congress could be wasting time on, it appears some members want to look into the use of smokeless tobacco in Major League Baseball (specifically MLB as it is banned in the minors).
Maybe we should be thankful for the preoccupation with sports, it seems like every time they actually do something, it's harmful.

Today's Recommended Reading
This American Thinker article by Jack Cashill is fascinating. While I've read about the accusations that President Barack Obama wasn't the actual author of "Dreams from My Father" (which always struck me as an odd title given his father left him) or that it was at least co-written by Bill Ayers, it never seemed all that worth exploring. But it's not that beginning portion of this article that I found fascinating. It was the description of his life as an academic. The guy sounds like me possibly with lower LSAT scores (I actually made the 93rd percentile if I remember right) and an inferior writer (yes, I'm no Shakespeare, but I generally get my verb tenses to agree throughout my writing).
What this article does to me, is reinforce the image I had of the President when I saw him speaking at the 2004 Democratic convention. I saw a man who had been bred to stand there, shoved in front of the crowd to look like all polish, but there was nothing underneath but rotten, hollow wood.
What Did it Take to Overcome the Depression? Not FDR and Not WWII.
It was a Democratic controlled Congress than channeled a future Republican President, Ronald Reagan. That's right boys and girls, tax cuts. Our President is fond of talking about not following the disproven policies of the paast as he follows the exact path that extended and deepened the Great Depression in the United States.
SEIU Official: White Workers are so F**cking Racist
Executive Vice President of SEIU Gerry Hudson apparently feels black workers have been duped by their white, racist, fellow union members into being against amnesty for illegal aliens (who SEIU views, along with health care, as key to relieving obligations they can't live up to). So wait...who's the racist? I'd say it's the guy who thinks black workers can't think for themselves.
You Make the Call, Whose Politics are Hateful?
An Oregon man named Jason Levin has created an orginization dedicated to dismantling the Tea Party Movement from the inside out. His plan, place plants in the various tea parties on April 15 to make the members appear "more" homophobic, racist and moronic. I put more in quotes because last I checked, none of those words descrbie the tea party members. I would say it's disturbing to me that people on the left would resort to these tactics, but it seems like they're just taking their cues from much of what the politicians have done.

And the Republican Choice for President is in: Barack Obama!!!
The Southern Republican Leadership Conference, held this year in the wonderful city of New Orleans (visit, bring friends), had a straw poll for the next Republican presidential candidate which was won by....Mitt Romney. In similar news, I've filled out an application for a cyanide pill...and a gun...and a guillotine.
Really? The outrage against having a health care bill shoved down our throats is to be answered by the guy who, as governor, instituted the same moronic health care bill and refuses to denounce the idiocy of it?
We cannot have a "conservative" like Mitt Romney.

Are You a Calvinist?
John Calvin established a branch of protestant Christianity (back when the French still went to church). Not what I'm asking. President Calvin Coolidge, a Republican from Massachusetts (yes, you read that right) may actually be a better role model for today's politics than President Ronald Reagan. I expect to be struck by lightning when I write that. Don't take my word for it, take a look online and read up on him.
Now This is Huge
The Federal Appeals Court in the District of Columbia has ruled that the FCC does not have the authority to dictate to private internet providers that all internet traffic be given equal treatment, paying or not. The so-called "net neutrality" idea is part of the whole social justice program (pogram?, no that's not a misspelling, look it up) the administration has been pushing. More important, however, is that we are now seeing the potential for courts to restrain this government which has grown out of control since Woodrow Wilson...OK, Teddy Roosevelt.
Holy Crap
First Lady Michelle Obama, in the midst of calling HIV testing is a symptom of homophobia (don't ask, I can't explain it) called Kenya our President's home country. What planet did I wake up on today?
Because Olestra Worked Like a Charm
Someone please explain to me why the U.S. government is trying to create low fat cake and icing.

So in Five Words or Less....
President Barack Obama, apparently channelling Hugo Chavez (why is it tyrants are always long winded) in response to "I'm overtaxed as it is" launched into a recitation of War and Peace lasting 17 minutes and 2,500 words. We live in a banana republic.
I'd Like to Take This Opportunity to Apologize to the President
I think I've been overly critical of our President, Barack Obama. I have been a harsh critic of his even before he took office. Perhaps I simply didn't give him enough of a chance or I failed to truly understand what he's doing. Maybe I've been to quick to criticize his ostracism of our traditional allies and capitulation to people who want to kill us. Maybe it's wrong for me to think he shouldn't be unilaterally slashing our offensive and defensive weapons systems in return for a smiling, shirtless Vladimir Putin (he can impale me any time, right girls?). Perhaps his employment of a "safe schools czar" that appears to be pro-pedophilia is a bit exaggerated. Maybe I should give him a wide berth on such statements as insuring an additional 30 million (ahem, not even close) Americans will actually save money. Clearly I should be more sensitive in my criticisms.
After all, it's unfair to treat a retarded person that way.
I'm aware this post may be offensive or distasteful. I meant it to be that way to make a point.
Alan Greenspan Masters the Obvious
Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Fed has offered up his analysis that if the CBO scoring of the health care law is incorrect, we may be in trouble. If? Mr. Greenspan may not be aware that if Congress tells the CBO that magical faeries are going to fart gold dust into the U.S. coffers everytime Congressman Hank Johnson says something stupid, they have to include it in their estimate. I'm not saying you should stock up on food or water. I'm just saying you might want to stock up on food and water.

If You Can't Beat Them, Change the Rules of the Game II
Some time ago, I wrote about how the Huffington Post proposed to change book categories so that conservative books weren't always atop the non-fiction best seller lists. Unfortunately, this article from American Thinker describes how Democrats are looking to change the election rules in Wisconsin to swing the vote there.
