Barbar Boxer, Senator, Advocate for Minorities, Asshole

Senator Barbara Boxer (D. Cali.) has twice in recent weeks made a rather revealing show of her true attitudes. The first was her condescending request that Brigadier General Michael Walsh call her Senator rather than "ma'am" since she's worked so very hard to get that title. The second was her extremely condescending exchange with CEO of the Black Chamber of Comberce, Harry Alford, who was presenting testimony on Capitol Hill regarding Cap and Trade legislation. What the exchange shows, and Glenn Beck with Ann Coulter beat me to it Friday, is that Sen. Boxer doesn't see Harry Alford as a man presenting testimony. He is simply a black interest group, a minority whose opinion is to be rebutted by other minority statements read into the record. Liberals are far more often the racists among us, because they do not think minorities are capable of standing without their help, that minorities must be protected from competition. Liberals see minorities as little children who can't feed themselves yet.

In a related note, I listened to a radio program with the Reverand Jesse Jackson (does he have a church?) this morning. Mr. Jackson cited as continued examples of discrimination: 1) higher infant mortality among blacks; 2) shorter life expectancies among minorities (guess he didn't check the charts for Asians and Hispanics); 3) the number of blacks in jail; and 4) black on black violence. The most obvious example of a "huh?" moment is number 4. How in God's name is that discrimination? None of these things represent discrimination. Honestly, the only racist to be heard from on the radio show was Rev. Jackson.
