And the Seventh Seal Was Broken and Out Poured....Alec Baldwin?

So it appears that God's sense of humor doesn't end with the infliction of Al Franken upon the U.S. Senate and, by proxy, upon all of America, now Alec Baldwin is showing interest in making a run for a seat in Congress according to CNN. As if Rahm Emmanuel's habit of dropping F-bombs on everyone in sight wasn't enough, we can now look forward to debates on the floor of the House of Senate which degrade into Baldwin yelling at his kid. Seriously, if he's willing to call his own child a thoughtless pig how do you think he'll describe the opposing Republicans?

Of course, maybe, like Franken, he'll put on this atmosphere of seriousness that belies his earlier days of raving lunacy. In the end, the only guarantee is that both of these guys are so far to the left that they would have felt perfectly at home in the Soviet Union. In the end, I suppose that doesn't make them any worse than Ted Kennedy and the rest of the Democratic leadership.
