There's Nothing Like the View From the Cheap Seats

White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs said it is easy for the people sitting in the "cheap seats" such as Rush Limbaugh to criticize the bailouts of GM and Chrysler. I'd like to note that Ford is the only American car company that is doing well. Mr. Gibbs seems to have missed that saying he didn't think Limbaugh drives a Ford, which is a bit confusing. This smacks of the elitist attitude common among politicians and particularly this administration.

Disaster?

I'm certainly not an expert on this kind of thing, but when the New York Times is printing a story about how the oil in the Gulf is dissapearing, which is exactly the kind of thing that plays against the administration's agenda, hmmm....

Requiem In Terra Pax

Today, my father passed away. He will not be mentioned in history books and he didn't change the world. His friends could both adore and hate him given the situation. He wasn't the perfect husband or the perfect man. He was my dad. And I will always be a better man for knowing him, and less of a man for having lost him.

How's That Government Health Care Working out for You?

As Secate Majority Leader Harry Ried (D. Nev) and other progressives addressed the NetRootsNation convention in Las Vegas promising that there will be a "public option", the British Government is backing away from their own government run health care system and moving to privatize much of the system. With European governments moving towards austerity measures and away from idiotic "stimulus" spending the U.S. under President Obama and these idiot progressives is pushing for the exact measures proven to be a failure in the rest of the world.

Charles Krauthammer nails the host of Inside Washington and the media at large for blaming FOX News on the firing of Shirley Sherrod, noting that the administration forced her resignation prior to any FOX program airing the news in this post on NewsBusters with the video from the program. Once again, Krauthammer is my hero.
I would also like to note that, though I withdrew the post as it regards to Sherry Sherrod, I agree with Breitbart that this was more about the NAACP clapping, laughing and nodding at the racist actions she made in her past before knowing that it was a supposed story of redemption. I'd also note that there is evidence on BigGovernment.com that Sherrod still harbors some pretty racist views.

Do As I Say, Not As I Dock

Senator and 2004 Presidential candidate John Kerry (D. Mass) has never met a tax hike he wouldn't vote for. Thing is, he doesn't want to pay them. Kerry avoided $500,000.00 in taxes on his new $7 million luxury yacht by naming its port of harbor as Rhode Island rather than where he actually sails from, Massachusetts. I guarantee you, liberals understand the consequences of the moronic economic policies they support.

Here's to Your Health...Well, Not Really

The federal government is so determined to ensure everyone in the country gets health care, that they will both track and tax gold coins and require the filing of tax forms for any business purchase greater than $600.00 to any corporation or individual. This would mean litterally millions if not billions of new tax forms being filed every year and the hiring of sufficient personell to process these forms both in accounting offices and in the federal government. As far as the tracking and taxing of gold coin transactions, I guess someone heard Bill O'Reilly joke that Glenn Beck has to be paid in gold coins. In a more serious note, it harkens back to FDR eventually banning the ownership of gold during the depression, seizing it from the general population and giving it to the government. I'm beginning to the secret password to Democratic meetings is "f$#% the economy." What the hell does this have to do with health care?

Seriously, Are These People Even Aware There is a Constitution

The Obama administration is backing legislation to collect information from employers regarding their employee's pay, race, sex and national origin. So much for individual rights. Rather than the employee bringin a suit for discrimination in order to prove that the pay difference is not based on such weird concepts as merit, service time, or actual ability to perform the job, the government can proactively oversee wages to make sure everyone gets "fairly" paid. You know how you occasionally get a tickle in your throat? That's just the federal goverment reaching up to remind you they are all up in your ass.

I'm Retracting the Post on Ms. Sherrod

It appears that the video clips were submitted out of context and don't show the full truth of the situation. I was irresponsible in running the story based on the sources I had and I don't believe that, given the information I have reviewed, Ms. Sherrod is a racist, in fact, it appears that she was citing the example as a turning point in her own experiences. I again apologize and I will rededicate myself to sourcing allegations like this.

More Proof of NAACP Racism

While Andrew Breitbart's reward of $100,000.00 for proof of any racism from Tea Party members at the health care bill protests in Washington, D.C. that numerous Democrats claimed to have suffered from, he doesn't seem to have much difficulty finding racism in the NAACP. Brietbart posted two videos of the head of the United States Department of Agriculture Georgia Department of Rural Development, Shirley Sherrod speaking before the NAACP, admitting to racist actions to the nodding approval of the audience. In the first, Ms. Sherrod talks about how she did not help a white farmer as much as she could because of his race. In the second video, Ms. Sherrod urges blacks to take jobs in the USDA and government because they can't be fired. Lovely.
Meanwhile, the Center for American Progress (George Soros is at it again) released a video in which they edited out the portion where the other people at the rally are flatly rejecting the presence of the man who, in the clip they used, claimed he was a proud racist. They also used people from the liberal "crash the party" movement who are plants designed to make the Tea Party look racist and used a clip from 2006, three years before the Tea Party even existed. There is a concerted effort on the left to smear the Tea Party and legitimize the movement because the left is afraid of it.

The Canary in the Recently Closed Coalmine

The United Kingdom's Daily Express reports on warnings from Derek Birkett, a former grid control engineer (imagine that, a guy with actual experience), who warns that the obsession with green energy could result in years of blackouts and skyrocketing energy prices. Well, admittedly even Obama said there would be skyrocketing energy prices as a result of his energy policy of cap and trade. It is my hope that one day we will wake up to a world where the government realizes you cannot legislate physics anymore than you can legislate economics.

Time to Party Like it's 1793

The Marie Antoinette Administration has scheduled yet another White House extravaganza and will be inviting the public via PBS. I would love to see what the entertainment bill is when President Obama leaves office.

So How'd That Violation of Federal Law Work Out, Anyway?

The Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) has released a report critical of the Obama administration's order for Chrysler and GM to close thousands of car dealerships around the country as part of their illegal interference with the bankruptcy proceedings. Well done, morons. Central planning of the economy, even a single industry, doesn't work.

Yet Another Lesson in Social Engineering

"President" Raul Castro of Cuba recently announced that as much as 20% of the Cuban workforce may be redundant. It's likely closer to 80% as most jobs are just busy work in the socialist paradise with guaranteed employment for all. Government does not create jobs or productivity, no matter what they try to tell you to get elected.

That Was Then, This is Now

The Obamination has filed briefs defending its mandate for all Americans to carry health insurance as a function of the federal government's power to levy taxes. But wait, you say, President Obama promised he wouldn't raise taxes on anyone making less than $200,000.00 per year or families making less than $250,000.00 per year, so that can't be right. You would be right to the extent that President Obama, to get the law passed, sure didn't want you to think it was a tax way back in September of last year when he told ABC's "This Week" with Captain Collaboration George Stephanopolous, that he "absolutely reject(ed) that notion" and that it was "absolutely not a tax". The President of the United States believes that all of us are fools. Oh happy day! Where was that ad for real estate in New Zealand....

No Need to Secure that Border Anytime Soon, Mr. President

The drug war in Mexico that is spilling over to into the border states has taken a turn towards insane. The cartels used a car bomb and a fake victim to lure police and emergency personnel into close enough range to kill them. But please, Mr. President, don't give Republicans any leverage by closing the border before you grant amnesty to everyone.

The Intellectual Choice

President Obama seems to place a great deal of trust in so-called intellectuals. When the Gulf oil spill occurred, the President repeatedly emphasized that his Secretary of Energy Steven Chu had won a Nobel prize as a physicist. Surely such a distinguished man would be able to handle an oil spill, even though he'd never stepped foot on an oil rig or had any experience with the engineering involved. Oops. Even the New York Times and MSNBC have lost faith in this kind of nonsense. Don't get me wrong, Chu is a brilliant man and a fine physicist, but I'm not calling him next time my plumbing needs to be fixed anymore than I should try my hand at tax law because I got a 3.2 in the course 8 years ago.

This is What You Get When You Google Corruption Part Two

This article on Politico covers how Google has been using its business influence to become a player in the Obama administration and on Capitol Hill, becoming influential in policy circles. Nothing all that new there. Except when you consider that Google has been harvesting (read: stealing) data from Wi-Fi networks, or that it has been accused of snooping on members of Congress, or that the White House violated it's own lobbying pledge with Google, or that Google wants to choose what news is delivered to you. You know when you're alone and you can't shake the feeling that some dark presence is in the room with you? I'm guessing that's Google.

Have You Heard? Apparently There's No More Economic Trouble

The Compulsive Liar in Chief, President Barack Obama, said the fall elections come down to a choice of the policies that got us into this mess or "my policies that got us out of this mess." I guess someone should tell the economy. It doesn't seem to have noticed.

Choose Your Illusion (Somewhere Axl Rose Just Smiled)

Having watched the program this author talks about, you'd think that someone accusing someone else of heresy would avoid lying about what they said.

It's Magic!!!

Apparently there is a basis for the "jobs created or saved" number that I always figured were blatant lies. It's the mythical idea that every $1 of government spending creates $2.50 in economic growth. So let's see, by this reasoning, all this huge debt should be producing so much economic growth that tax receiptes would always outstrip spending and there is no such thing as a deficit. Um...there has to be a statute for criminal stupidity, right? Maybe we should sue the administration for fraud.

Representative Bart Stupak (D. Neb.) can sleep soundly at night knowing that his compromise on the health care bill produced an executive order that clearly would not allow taxpayer funded abortions. Oh, wait. According to House Minority Leader John Boehner (R. Ohio) a high-risk insurance pool using federal funds in Pennsylvania will pay for any abortion legal in the state. I wish I could say I was surprised.

If at First You Don't Succeed...

In the biggest repudiation of the concept that no means no, the Obama administration reissued the drilling moronatorium after the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal denied their request to overturn the District Cour that lifted the ban. So, we have established that the President doesn't give a damn what the people say, what the courts say, and even what members of his own party say.

Democrat Shows Rare Moment of Clarity While RINOs Show How Useless They Can Be

While RINOs Scott Brown (RINO, Mass.) and Cynthia Snowe (RINO, Maine) have volunteered their support for the moronic financial regulatory bill that even it's author has no idea how it works, at least one Democrat is showing some sanity. Senator Evan Bayh (D. Ind.) has come out agreeing that tax increases are a bad idea right now. Bayh's sudden bought of logic may have something to do with the fact that he is retiring.

I'm Sorry Ma'am, but My Head Has Been Firmly Buried Up My Ass for the Past Year Plus

Sean Penn, whose father was blacklisted in the 1950's for being a communist by Hollywood executives (not Congress) as a reaction to hearings by the Democratic led House Unamerican Activities Committee (nope, McCarthy was not involved) is a big supporter of Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez. So much so that Mr. Penn would like to see me jailed for calling him a dictator. Mr. Chavez is such a lover of freedom that two Venezuelan citizens are facing the possibility of jail time for using Twitter to criticize the banking system. There's liberal logic for you, upset that his father suffered for his moronic political beliefs, Mr. Penn supports someone who will jail others for theirs.

This article on rising Republican star Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and his roadmap for the future is definitely worth consideration.

Some People Hate to Be Called Liars; Others Hate Being Caught

Representative Ciro Rodriguez (D. TX) lost his cool when trying to explain his vote on health care to constituents when one mentioned that the CBO is already revising up the costs of the health care bill, despite having to take into account Democrat's claims that unicorns and puppies will crap gold to make up for the cost of the bill. In the meantime that Democratic push to catch a Republican on camera loosing it remains very, very quiet.

This is What Happens When You Google Corruption

Representative Darrell Issa (R. Cal. (yes, THAT California)) is looking into innapropriate contact between White House Deputy Chief Technology Officer Andrew McLaughlin and Google, his former employer. Most transparent administration ever.

I Heard This Great Joke the Other Day, the Punchline Was Senator Al Franken

If it's a close election and the Democrat wins, I can guarantee you there is something fraudulent. Case in point, Al Franken was amazingly popular amongst felons who weren't legally voting. In fact, they constituted the difference in the race. If you try to bring up the Bush Gore election, just stop now. Gore lost every recount that was held and just kept asking for more. His protestations had more to do with the fact that he thought he'd stolen the election and couldn't understand that it didn't work. In the age of everyone gets a prize, I have recommended the following SAT question be incorporated, which has no wrong answers:
Al Gore is to truth as:
A. Testicles are to females (i.e. Al Gore).
B. Spines are to worms (i.e. Al Gore).
C. Scruples are to Bill Clinton (i.e. Al Gore's former boss).
D. There is no relationship between Al Gore and truth.

Group of Racists Condemns Groups of Non-Racists for Being Racist

The NAACP, which I think at one time was actually a good and useful organization, is expected to use its annual convention, at which Michelle Obama was the keynote speaker, to condemn what it calls racists elements of the Tea Party. Despite a complete lack of evidence (in point of fact, Andrew Brietbart put up $100,000.00 for someone in the age of the ubiquitous cell phone camera to come forward with any evidence, and so far, no takers) outside of the allegations of Democrats, Keith Olbermann and Jeneane Garofalo (all trustworthy sources in much the same way that at 35 years old and 5'3" I am an NBA prospect) they intend to parrot those unsubstantiated allegations in their resolution. Why do I call the NAACP racist? Unlike them, I have evidence. You may remember Kenneth Gladney, the black St. Louis man beat up by SEIU thugs for being against the health care bill (or as I like to think of it, sane). The NAACP called him an Uncle Tom and demanded that charges against the thugs be dropped. Guess that's just an example of the pot calling the kettle...well, you know.

How Cozy is Too Cozy

Mort Zuckerman publisher and owner of the New York Daily News and editor-in-chief of U.S. News & World Report admitted to Neil Cavuto that he helped write one of President Obama's speeches. In Relation to the Previous Post (Below)

This is some must read/must see information. Here is the link to the "We Will Not Be Silenced" web site which contains a preview of the documentary detailing allegations of serious abuses by Obama activists during the Democratic primaries of 2008.
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of razzmatazz
And it has all that jazz
And each time I leave, Chicago is
Tugging at my sleeve, Chicago is
The Wrigley Building, Chicago is
The Union Stockyard, Chicago is
One town that won't let you down,
It's my kind of town.
Frank Sinatra, "My Kind of Town"

No Officer, This is the First Time My Husband Hit Me. It Was Always the Stairs Before.

Unless you've been hiding in a cave on Mars with your eyes closed and your fingers stuffed in your ears, you've heard about the Department of Justice whistle blower testifying before a Congressional Committee regarding voter intimidation and the Obama administration's lassaiz faire (why is this the only thing they don't meddle in?) attitude towards it when the victims are white and defendants are black. Mr. Adam's testimony was not limited to this incident. He testified that such claims of intimidation by "Obama activists" were pervasive and that, further, they committed the same crimes during the Democratic (with regard to the party, that word should always be used in the ironic sense) primaries in 2008 when the surprise candidate came from behind to defeat Hillary Clinton. It would seem that his testimony has corroboration from an unlikely source, a Democratic activist. The documentary film "We Will Not Be Silenced" made by Gigi Gaston (caveat, it was executive produced by a former Clinton campaign regional director) details how the Obama campaign used "falsified delegate counts, falsified documents, and other violations" to beat Mrs. Clinton and those are just the tip of the iceberg. I'm linking to the documentary itself in a separate post.

We Have to Pass Financial Regulation to Correct the Crash of Minority Hiring.........Wait, What?

Pollster: Do you trust your Congressman?
Respondent: Of course.
Pollster: Why?
Respondent: He's always going to do what I expect him to do.
Pollster: How so?
Respondent: Without fail he'll always do the wrong thing.
(The preceeding joke is copyrighted material of Mark Ladd. Reproduce it at your peril.)
(The preceeding joke about the copyrighting of the joke before it is also the property of Mark Ladd.)

Democrats have used the occasion of the financial regulatory overhaul to place racial and gender quotas on not only the financial industry, but anyone who contracts with the financial industry through the use of "diversity czars". (Technically the diversity czar would oversee fairness in hiring practices and promote diversity, anyone believe that's not going to be a quota? If so, raise your hand and keep it up until I come by and kick you.) The article quotes a source citing the cost of this bill as in excess of $20 million. This portion of the bill has been attributed to Representative Maxine Waters (D. Cal.), chair of the idiots who make up the Congressional Black Congress (does that mean they don't represent the other races in their districts?) who think Cuba is heaven. You may remember Mrs. Waters as the upstanding individual who directed stimulus funds to a bank with ties to her husband (he was a director of the bank).
In any case, clearly this was a necessary step in order to prevent future financial meltdowns. After all, it has been clearly demonstrated that the low percentage of hispanic females in banks was the definitive cause of the financial crisis...oh, well surely we've shown that the percentage of minorities at large is the same as the percentage of minorities in the financial industry and thus quotas are needed...no? Oh, its just another piece of moronic, non-evidence based social engineering unrelated to the actual purpose of the bill (which is itself questionable at best)? Well that makes sense.

That Darn Logic Will Do it to You Every Time

This is a very interesting article in the Village Voice (yikes!) by David Mamet about no longer being a "brain dead liberal".

Today's Recommended Reading

This article by the Wall Street Journal's John Fund will tell you not only how little respect Democrats have for the public, but their blatant disregard for appropriate restraint. If the Democrats actually attempt this strategy someone should figure out a way to prosecute criminally. Let me make clear that any Republican who participates should face the same.

"Postracial" Administration Again Shows its Racism

The "post racial" age that the Obama administration supposedly swept in with the historic election of the third or fourth socio-facist President to ever hold office just doesn't feel all that post racial. In fact, it seems decidely racist. There was the President acting stupidly by accusing the police of acting stupidly without ever even knowing what the facts of the situation were other than the cop was white and the professor was black. There was also the Department of Justice controversy regarding the New Black Panthers and Attorney General Eric Holder dismissing the case against Captain "You Gonna Have to Kill a Cracker", King Shamir Shabaz and his pals intimidating white voters who they thought might not vote for Obama at a Philadelphia polling station. This controversy continues today with a whistleblower saying the DOJ isn't going to pursue any voting rights case where the victim is white and the defendant black. But dammit, if there is a black victim and the white cop is found not guilty of murder but rather a lesser charge of manslaughter by a jury of his peers in a court of law, the Department of Justice is sure as hell going to look into that for a potential federal prosecution. No word if they have any intention of looking into the riots which occurred after the verdict. Whether intentionally or not, I would submit that this administration is fanning the flames of racial division. Don't forget, before anyone else ever said anything, then-candidate Obama pulled the race card.

BUSTED!! Who Do You Trust?

Who do you trust? The supposedly right wing elements of the media or the liberal watchdogs that try to shoot them down? Try trusting me. Mediaite, a web site supposedly giving objective opinions on news stories, run by NBC legal analyst Dan Abrams (and we all know how neutral NBC has managed to be, though ironically, more on that later) reported on an exchange between a CNS News reporter and Robert Gibbs. According to Mediaite, the CNS reporter was attributing a Paul Ryan, Republican congressman from Wisconsin, quote to the recess appointment to head Medicare/Medicaid, Dr. Donald Berwick. The specific quote in question? "excellent health care is by definition redistribution". (What a shock that President Obama might want an appointment with such an opinion to bypass Congressional hearings this close to an election). Mediaite praised Gibb's handling of the reporter where he accused the CNS reporter of "playing political games" and "diving into his secret book of quotations". The story ends on this note "The lesson? Robert Gibbs won't entertain baseless questions from reporters who haven't done their homework. And when he does, he makes enough of an example out of them to keep the rest of the Press Corps on their toes." The title of the story? "Robert Gibbs Catches CNS Reporter Missapropriating Comments to New Health Care Chief". The outrage! The indignity! My God, man, how can we stand for these right wing conspiracy theorists who think President Obama and his appointees believe in redistribution of wealth!
Media Matters, which seems to be funded through various other groups such as Moveon.org by George Soros, dark lord of the Sith, criticized an MSNBC (GASP!!) reporter for suggesting that Berwick had made controversial comments and praising the British joke of a health care system.
Surely these upstanding left-leaning media sites wouldn't...but wait...
oh, there's video...oh, and a transcript for the hearing impaired...and there is Berwick, and I quote "any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must - must - redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and less fortunate. EXCELLENT HEALTH CARE IS BY DEFINITION REDISTRIBUTION. BRITAIN, YOU CHOSE WELL." Emphasis added.
It's almost like they lied. So again, I ask, who do you trust? It sure as hell isn't Robert Gibbs.

Wait, I Thought the Law Violated Civil Rights and Was Racist

As has been expected for some time now, the Obama administration, rather than making any move to actually secure the border, have filed suit against Arizona over their new anti-immigration law. That's certainly no surprise. After all, the administration has consistently said that the law will violate the civil rights of legitimate citizens. Hell, it was so blatantly obvious that they didn't even need to read the bill to know that it would violate civil rights. And yet, the federal government has not taken that position before the court. The brief on behalf of the United States mentions the Supremacy Clause but not a word about violations of civil rights. You would think that if the Obama administration was worried about the usurpation of federal powers, they would have sues the "sanctuary cities" that openly defy federal immigration laws.

Recess!!!

President Barack Obama is set to appoint Dr. Donald Berwick as head of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services during the Congressional recess, bypassing Senate review of the appointment until at least next year. The recess appointment power, meant to be used in a time of emergency for temporary situations of need, not as an end run around Congress, was criticized by President Obama in 2005 when as a candidate for Senate, he referred to recess appointees as "damaged goods". The hypocrisy has become so common as to be mundane at this point.
Of greater interest is the strategy of using this method of appointment. Berwick was expected to face grilling by Republicans over his controversial views in favor of rationing health care. Democrats were afraid of this issue essentially reopening the debate on the health care bill. This also avoids that debate coming before the November Congressional elections. Think about it, President Obama, who derided people who suggested there would be rationing of care under his health care plan, is going to appoint a man in favor of such rationing and doesn't want a public discussion about it. Transparent, not so much. Accountable, certainly not. Cynical, of mais, bien sur!

Today's Recommended Reading, Part II

American Thinker has a fascinating article describing how the Chicago political machine steals elections.

It Wasn't a Lie, it Was an Omission of Reality

As we're all aware, the compulsive liar-in-chief campaigned on a promise that he would not raise taxes in any way shape or form on people making less than $200,000 per year. In his first act in office, he signed a bill raising taxes on cigarettes, but apparently only on rich smokers I guess. He has long been set to allow the "Bush tax cuts" to expire. These cuts lowered every single tax bracket, not just one. Allowing them to expire (why they ever had an expiration date is beyond me) WILL raise taxes on everyone, including those making less than $200,000. But he's not raising taxes, he's just allowing them to go up. Oh, and by no stretch of the imagination is this going to be just the second time he's raised taxes that affect people making less than $200,000.

Today's Recommended Reading

Representative Frank Wolf (R. Va.) wrote this piece for Human Events detailing how the Department of Justice has stonewalled his attempts to investigate the dismissal of the New Black Panthers case. You may recall that last week, a former Department of Justice employee appeared on FOX News blowing the whistle on this case. Yet more examples of the "transparency" and "accountability" President Barack Obama promised on the campaign trail.

To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before...Mecca?

According to NASA Administrator Charles Boldin, one of NASA's primary goals (what with apparently not returning to the moon or flying shuttles anymore) is to improve relations with the Muslim world. I am now wrapping my head with duct tape to prevent it from exploding. In fact, says Boldin, President Obama implied it was to be NASA's highest priority. Unless the plan is to strap radical islamists to a rocket and fire them into space, this is one of the most moronic things I've ever heard.

Freedom, With Their Exceptions

(The title is a reference to a Metallica song in honor of my brother.) The Transportation Security Administration will be blocking its employees from websites which contain a "controversial opinion". How such a determination is to be made is unknown. My guess is that this site would probably qualify. Let me start by saying I believe generally that an employer has the right to control internet access by its employees during work hours and on workplace equipment. I am less comfortable when that employer is the government and it is making content based restrictions on speech which are subject to great scrutiny under the First Amendment. I am even more concerned when this administration, which has been openly seeking to regulate the internet, starts this kind of test balloon in an agency.

Even Robert Reich is Indicating the Failure of Stimulus

Robert Reich, economist and Secretary of Labor to President Bill Clinton, is quoted in a UK Telegraph article that all the booster rockets for getting us beyond the Great Recession are failing. What a shock!! It didn't work in the 1930's and for some reason, it's not working now! Who'da thunk it? It is also noted in the article that Illinois (hmmm...who is it that's from Illinois, served as a state Senator...big ears...) if fast heading the way of Greece. This is what happens when you elect morons who espouse policies that have been demonstrable failures across the world. I can only hope that all of America is learning from this.

No Sense Even Pretending it is an Objective Study

"Leading" presidential "scholars" (why is it morons with liberal opinions are always intellectuals and scholars?) have rendered what is quite possibly one of the most idiotic studies in the history of the liberal educational establishment. That's right folks, after a year in office, a failed stimulus package, near double digit unemployment which is only under 10% because more people give up looking for work than file new unemployment claims each month, a foreign policy that alienates our friends and emboldens our enemies, a health care package full of lies, and so on, President Barack Obama has been ranked one of the best Presidents ever, 15th overall of 44 to be specific. FDR is of course ranked first overall with cousin Theodore, another progressive, ranked second. I guess that sub-50 percent approval rating didn't weigh too heavily on their minds.

And Take Lindsay Graham With You

As I wrote earlier, Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele should resign. And he needs to take Lindsay Graham (RINO, SC) with him. Lindsay Graham apparently believes the Tea Party won't last and that caving to Democrats on issues such as amnesty for illegals and climate bills based on politicized science is what being a Republican is all about. He should read my article about why the liberal agenda dominates politics. Or maybe he should develop some principles and a spine. Either way, I'm willing to bet the Tea Party will outlast Lindsay.

The Head of the Republican Party Needs to Resign

Michael Steele, Chairmen of the Republican Party, needs to step down. He stuck his foot in his mouth for what seems like the thousandth time calling Afghanistan a war of President Obama's choosing. Now I understand he was trying to criticizes the President's tactic of calling Iraq a war of choice and Afghanistan a war of necessity, but it is still a pretty ignorant statement. I have to agree with Bill Krystol, it is time for him to resign.

Why Does This Not Surprise Me?

Former President William Jefferson Clinton (D. AR) who is probably as liberal as President Obama but was more practical, moving to the center after Republicans retook a majority of the House during his first mid-terms, was speaking today at the funeral of recently deceased Senator Robert Byrd (D. WV). President Clinton justified Byrd's one-time membership in the KKK by blowing it off as "he was just trying to get elected." Seriously. Someone has to explain to me why minorities vote Democrat.

I Think I'll Deem My Taxes Paid

As I noted some time ago, Democratic members of the House have deemed a budget passed for 2011, allowing them to spend for that fiscal year without so much as going on the record and voting. The tactics used by Democrats since the election of President Barack Obama have been beyond despicable. I'll give some credit to the 38 that voted against but if I don't see criticism of the move out of their mouths I would lump them in with the other 210 as a group that should be tried for criminal malfeasance in the operation of their office.

Now the Media Discovers Logic?

The Associated Press is reporting what everyone already knew, but Democrats refused to admit, that ER wait times will skyrocket and overcrowding become even more of a problem under Obamacare. The Hill reports that the sick deemed high-risk may be turned away from care. If you believe for a second that the administration didn't know this and simply bald-faced lied to the American people, you might be a bit overly idealistic.

Prognostication

I was reading through some of my old posts (yes, I'm that self-absorbed) and found that I'm pretty good at this. In fact, I predicted Justice Sotomayor's vote on the recent gun rights case, which she was luckily on the wrong side of. Tell your friends.

Just a Brief Update

You may remember (assuming you have no life) that I've been a bit peeved about the Department of Justice dropping a case that they had already won against the New Black Panthers. Now, a resigned attorney with the department is claiming that the decision was political and that a general directive was issued that if a voting rights victim is white and the defendant black, they were not to prosecute. More as this develops.
