The Tactics of Change

The Obama administration, which often has simply ignored Republican criticism, has now taken to actively bullying those who criticize administration policies. Such tactics include visits from the Vice President. I don't think even I would be intimidated by Joe Biden, so I'm not sure how that one works. More sinister tactics are to call up the home state governors of Republicans who protest the wasteful stimulus bill and subtely threaten to redirect any funding heading to their area. The administration has further taken to bullying Democrats who may not be supporting the administration position. Senator Mary Landrieu (D. La.) is an example, as she has been attacked by administration proxies such as the George Soros funded MoveOn.org for her early position that she might not support the health care reform package being pushed by President Obama. We have already seen credible evidence that his administration has bullied banks, fired CEO's, and bullied GM into bankruptcy. I think somewhere underneath that supposedly calm exterior of the guy who cares about the people rages an angry man who thinks that he is smarter than everyone else and that he has the right to remake the country to fit his ideals. But then, I think that's true of most of the Democratic leadership.
