It seems that it is almost inevitable at this point that Congress will ignore the will of the people once again, as they did on the "stimulus" package, TARP and the omnibus spending bill, and will get a health care package to President Obama to sign before the State of the Union address in January. I cannot think of a time in our country when the elected representatives have been so unresponsive to clear public opinion. I don't think it is going to far to say that if, and likely when, this monstrosity passes, it will be a tragedy for our constitutional republic.
