In the United Kingdom's parlimentary system, the opposing coalition or party often refers to itself as the shadow government. Under Barack Obama and previous government expansionist presidents, democracy itself has become the shadow government, the party of opposition laying in wait in the hope that it can take over some day.

Sam Allito, Was He Wrong
I'm asking for some feedback here. Traditionally, the Supreme Court does not react during any State of the Union speech. If you watched last night you may have noticed they never react. Last night Justice Samuel Alito mouthed "that's simply not true", when the President said that the Court had opened the floodgates to corporate spending on campaigns. I'm unsure of any moment when the Executive has called out the Judiciary in this fashion before either, though I haven't researched the issue yet. I'd like to know what you thing, who went too far?

Of course, I think Obama went too far. I am not so sure we are correct in being so respectful to someone who is so obviously a liar and hypocrite. Mouthing something without actually saying it is not even an action, as far as I am concerned.
ReplyDeleteI would love to know who makes up these words you have to print in order to verify your comment. My last one said cologeek. That brings up all kinds of weird images.
