Freekin' Sweet!!

I'm a bit surprised by this one. Apparently Karl Rove has confirmed that he will play a role next season on "Family Guy" and Rush Limbaugh is rumored to be appearing as well (Rove was referred to on previous shows as the Emporer from Star Wars and some evil faceless demon). This is the same program that showed a baby dressed up as a Nazi SS soldier with a "McCain/Palin" pin on his lapel during the campaign. This is the program that had an episode where the main character changed the timeline, Al Gore won in 2000, and the world was nearly perferct. I did always enjoy that President Clinton was depicted as a chubby chaser who seduced the wife and then the husband.
I loved this show when it first came out. As it became more political it became more angry, and there were two or three episodes which were just not funny, they were angry. The idea that Seth McFarlane, who has traditionally been very liberal, might open up the show for some storylines putting air time for well known conservatives might be an interesting move. I hope they do not devolve to what they have done with Republicans and suddently use characterizations similar to the Nazi skit mentioned above for Obama. Criticism by humor is always good, but when it stretches into anger it isn't funny anymore.
