If it Were a Vote, it Would be a Landslide

The newest Rasmussen poll shows that 54% of Americans are opposed to the current proposals on health care reform and only 42% are in favor. Shouldn't that pretty much end the whole discussion? Instead of Senator Harry Reid (D., Nev.) sneaking behind closed doors to hammer out some sort of final bill, shouldn't they scrap the whole thing? If there were ever more proof that these people think they know better than you do about how to run your life and that your opinion just doesn't count, I can't think of when.
