I had been thinking about this since long before the Fu Fighters asked John McCain to pull the "Here Comes My Hero" song. Why is it that people in rock n' roll, punk, metal, etc., tend to support the left? Is it rebellious to scream give me health care? Take care of me from cradle to grave? Fill my gas tank and pay my mortgage? That's the rebellious independent spirit of music? Green Day, U2, the Black Eyed Peas and bands like them have rode the liberal wing of politics for years. It's so punk rock to ask the state to take care of your insurance.....wait.
So I was stoked to hear this on Glenn Beck's radio program and it is posted on his website and it appears he's hooking the guy up to have it produced into a single. Seven fathers on a lonely road is a great description of where we stand and what we face now. Not to mention, the song is kind of catchy. Hell, it should be a movie, seven founding fathers facing the distortion of a nation. Ben Franklin shooting electricity...well, you get the idea. Check out the song and think about what the Federalist Papers say and what those fathers would think about their children.
