Senator Jay Rockefeller (D. W.Va.) has stated that major health care reform must be passed by the end of the year and it is their "sacred duty". President Obama continues to talk about passing health care legislation with or without the support of Republicans and that it must be done soon. The only way this urgency makes sense is out of fear that the more the people know about the plan, the less they will support it. Sacred duty? Sacred cow.
