President Obama elaborated on his earlier comment that police acted stupidly in arresting Henry Louis Gates, Jr., who had to break in to his own home after losing his keys. From the police officers story, Gates didn't exactly act above board at the time. Comedian Bill Cosby proved he has more common sense than President Obama, expressing that he would have waited before weighing in with such a statement. Meantime, the cop who wrote out the report was Hispanic, another on the scene was black, and the only white cop was a police trainer who specialized in teaching anti-profiling at the academy. Gates' home had been broken into while he was gone. He came out abusing the cops and instantly claiming they were there because he was black. By the way, President Obama compared his own experience being followed by cops. He's an admitted cocaine user. Shouldn't the cops have been following him?
Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but given that Obama pulled the race card before anyone else had the chance on the campaign trail, his willingness to use divisive politics by demonizing the rich and those who don't agree with him and his radical past, maybe this isn't just a mistake and it is an insight to what our President believes.
