I've been accused of being so far to the right that I can't see the middle of the road anymore. I have no interest in the middle of the road. I don't want compromise. I don't want a half measure of health care reform. I don't want a little bit of government help. If you think the middle of the road is the way to go, you just don't get it.
The left sets the agenda. By nature conservatism cannot set an agenda because it is one of retraction. So the left comes in and says something like we need health care. Instead of fighting like hell to say no, this can't happen, it's not good, it is unconstitutional and it will not work, we get "reasonable" people like John McCain and Olympia Snowe who are just looking for the compromise. Idiots. Quick quiz: Name the government program that has progressively gotten smaller over time. We don't want to let the foot in the door. We can't have half measures of cap and trade or a small value added tax or a tiny little bit of health care. The second we give ground we're done.
I cannot tolerate the view of people who have no vision. Like most everything else, if you find the middle of the road, you'll be run over.
Yes, this is a good one. And it speaks to what I was talking about to you concerning getting rid of the ability of lobbyists to use money and going over every regulation and law on the books and getting rid of the bad ones and enforcing the good ones.
ReplyDeleteHow about a possitive outlook on something. The current regime will be gone in 4 to 8 years, and more importantly long gone by the time my children are grown and voting. Meanwhile the current regime focuses on pushing their agenda's on all of our children. With a little guidance from us this is not all bad. In the name of the environment ,economy and providing for the needy this regime pushes for big government. I don't think any one reading this blog believes in big government. So if we can teach our children that big government is not the answer to these problems, then their awareness of these problems (real or propaganda) will enforce the private sector with the will to do something about them without relying on government. Call me overly optimistic, but I for one refuse to beleive that this regime or any other can destroy this great country, this blog is the perfect example of why.
