Hopefully a Preview of Things to Come

Last night a special election was held in New York's 9th Congressional District, the seat once held by former Congressman Anthony Weiner (D. NY). This district had been won by a Democrat every two years since 1923. In a race seen as a proxy fight for the presidential race (though it's still too early in my opinion to go that far), Republican Bob Turner won the special election. This district is heavily composed of Orthodox Jews and President Obama's complete disrespect of Israel likely weighed heavily in the election.

Paul Krugman Shows Just How Smart and Classy He Is

Paul Krugman, editorial writer for the New York Times and Pulitzer prize winning economist (which he deserves about as much as the Nobel Peace Prize given to President Obama) decided to use his September 11 editorial to accuse "fake heroes" such as then New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and President George W. Bush of cashing in on the horror of the attacks. The title of his column is "The Conscience of a Liberal" and it shows exactly that he has none. I imagine his conscience can be found somewhere near his courage, which is assuredly shown as lacking in that he disabled the ability for users to comment on his editorial. It is a common tactic among many on the left to refuse to allow for comment and to ridicule those that disagree with them rather than addressing substantive points (i.e., Al Gore). This piece (of shit) by Krugman shows what a lack of class, courage and conviction he truly has on the day we remember 10 years since the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

I need to clarify that after looking at this a bit more, it appears that this is part of Krugman's Times Blog and may or may not have appeared in the print edition. He's still an asshole.

It's a Tad Cold Out

I've written before about the looming threat posed by our supposed Russian friends. An incident around North Korea just reinforces my beliefs that the Cold War is alive and well. Perhaps it is Cold War II. Russia has aligned its interests with Iran, China and North Korea, has taken steps to monopolize oil production and refining in the Middle East and Far East, and it's shadow has grown large under the psychotic Vladimir Putin. The prior failures of President Obama's foreign policy that I have written of before have only encouraged this threat, but don't get me wrong, it would have occurred without his inept foreign policy. We are facing threats from within (idiotic domestic policy) and without and the 2012 election is absolutely going to be critical. As much as I like Ron Paul, I have to say, I cannot support his bid for the nomination due to naive foreign policy.

Today's Recommended Reading

I would be far more critical than this gentle article, but when even the AP essentially calls the President's claims bullshit, it's hard to think anyone with an IQ above 12 can paint the turd of a "jobs plan" gold with a straight face.

How Do You Shed That "Union Thug" Label?

Storm a shipyard that is employing union workers that just aren't in your union. Really? Playing into the stereotype are we?

Speech Wrap Up

Well, I think now I was wrong about sending a bill to the floor tonight. It appears that the specifics of this "plan" will be forthcoming. It's amazing to me that the President can keep a straight face while talking about how we have to "act now" in a speech he waited a month to give that has no specifics. He damned well new it was a campaign speech.

Part VIII

Well, at least he admitted he doesn't give a damn about the Constitution during the speech. President Obama has solidified his place among the worst presidents ever.
