When the President promised not to raise taxes on anyone making under $250,000.00 I think he expected that by this point in his presidency, no one would be making that other than government employees. So we should probably give him a break now that his people are trying to backtrack that promise.
In the United Kingdom's parlimentary system, the opposing coalition or party often refers to itself as the shadow government. Under Barack Obama and previous government expansionist presidents, democracy itself has become the shadow government, the party of opposition laying in wait in the hope that it can take over some day.

A Sudanese Rosa Parks
This is a very brave woman. What lengths would any of us be willing to go to for our beliefs?
Law for the Lazy
Who Told You it Was Your Money?
Do you work for yourself or do you work for the various governments that oversee you? Do you even keep half of your income after you factor in such things as state income tax, sales tax, gasoline taxes, etc., not to mention the hidden costs of such things as food driven up by gasoline taxes, your energy bill being cranked up by taxes on energy production. Do you rent the land you live on to pay for the government with your labor? Are you a peon? A surf?
This is not President Obama, though he could care less, this is how government in the United States has been evolving since the turn of the century. And so now, prepare for more. Two administration advisors have come out admitting that taxes are probably going up, including on the middle class, the supposed sacred cow of the Obama administration. Of course you may want to keep in mind that the middle class just means anyone making more than those in public housing to these morons.
You remember Ed Wallace signing off saying "Good night and good luck." while McCarthy was going after communists? McCarthy was right and the communists were found in the State Department, where he was looking for them. Hollywood was assaulted by Democrats searching for public targets, leading to the blacklists. The lies have gotten so deep that McCarthy was involved in the House UnAmerican Activities Committee. He was a Senator. If you don't understand the difference you probably voted for Obama. But I tell you today that we, as taxpayers, are under assault and so is our freedom. So I tell you now, good night and good luck. I pray I'm wrong, but this isn't getting better.

Celebrity Gives All
"'Once I got a taste of it, I went: 'I can do anything. I can do absolutely anything.' And you start to believe it. I know it to be true because I've seen it happen. I've experienced it. I'm ambitious. I try to make it look like it's not work -- that's the biggest key. I've got it pretty good. There's no sense in making life seem like it's a struggle, because that doesn't make anybody feel better.'" That's a quote from Ashton Kutcher found on OMG. It sounds a lot like the Tom Cruise Scientology video, which is creepy as hell. Think what you like and tell me what you think here.
The Guardian Knights of the Obama Administration
While I wouldn't necessarily adopt the title of this video post with respect to NBC's Matt Lauer losing his cool during an interview with Michelle Malkin, I would note a few things here. First, NBC and MSNBC have been in bed with President Obama for a long time. As we all know, Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of GE, NBC's parent company, holds a position as an economic advisor to President Obama and GE has helped shape much of the legislation coming out of the Democratic controlled Congress as well as benefiting from such legislation (I'm planning a large post later on laying out all of this in more detail.) So, I ask that you watch Lauer, a journalist, not a commentator, in this interview and see if you feel he is being objective or defensive on behalf of the administration. Then, at the end of the video, I'd like you to note the look on his face and listen because you can here him twisting up the papers in his hand into a roll over the audio feed. This is a guy who was clearly angered by the interview. Objectivism in the some of the mainstream media, especially the media controlled by GE, is dead, and probably has been for years.

What is the Definition of a Rebel?
I had been thinking about this since long before the Fu Fighters asked John McCain to pull the "Here Comes My Hero" song. Why is it that people in rock n' roll, punk, metal, etc., tend to support the left? Is it rebellious to scream give me health care? Take care of me from cradle to grave? Fill my gas tank and pay my mortgage? That's the rebellious independent spirit of music? Green Day, U2, the Black Eyed Peas and bands like them have rode the liberal wing of politics for years. It's so punk rock to ask the state to take care of your insurance.....wait.
So I was stoked to hear this on Glenn Beck's radio program and it is posted on his website and it appears he's hooking the guy up to have it produced into a single. Seven fathers on a lonely road is a great description of where we stand and what we face now. Not to mention, the song is kind of catchy. Hell, it should be a movie, seven founding fathers facing the distortion of a nation. Ben Franklin shooting electricity...well, you get the idea. Check out the song and think about what the Federalist Papers say and what those fathers would think about their children.
