Libtard Defined

A friend of mine recently asked on her Facebook account for a definition of "libtard" as she has apparently been called that of late. For the record, I would not apply that term to her. She's someone who has a big heart that informs much of her opinions and it is difficult to fault that even if I disagree with the conclusions it leads to. I would put her in a similar category with Senator Joe Lieberman (I. Conn.). I can't find much of anything I agree with the man about politically (other than national defense) but I respect his opinions as he never seems to come from a place of hatred or lack of reason.

No, to qualify for the libtard moniker, I respectfully submit that one should have to make a statement so unreasonable, so unqualified, so unsupported by evidence and reason that it can only be informed by pure ideological nonsense that trumps all sense of logic. So let's get to some examples, shall we?

Sean Penn : Fantastic actor and proof that art and reason need not collide. This is the jackass that supports the "democratic" authoritarian dictator Hugo Chavez. How did Penn become a libtard? He blames Republicans for his father being blacklisted in Hollywood as a Communist as a result of the Democrat controlled House Unamerican Activities Committee investigations which took place before anyone had even heard of Senator McCarthy. Make sense? Of course not, it's libtarded. Mr. Penn recently revealed his rather unclever name for the Tea Party, which he calls the "Get the 'N' word out of the White House" party. Strange, as I've seen lots of black people at the New Orleans Tea Party meetings and events and I've yet to see a single instance of racism in my local Tea Party (which is in a city that is 80% plus black). But he can say it and Piers Morgan won't even challenge the statement. He just nods and invokes ...

Morgan Freeman : Another wonderfully talented actor. Freeman decided to call the Tea Party racist as well. He now has a standing invitation to attend a Tennessee Tea Party event from Ali Akbar, a black Tea Party member. Of course Ali is probably just being paid by conservatives to distract from their racism according to...

Janeane Garofalo, who postulated that Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain is being paid to run for just that reason. Ms. Garofalo has long graced the pages of this particular blog with her unique brand of idiocy. She is a frequent guest of fellow libtard...

Keith Olbermann : I'm not sure where to even start with this idiot. This old article from American Thinker is pretty amusing. He's not even unique amongst his former co-workers, such as...

Ed Schultz : Schultz believes Herman Cain is pandering to us white racists who identify with the Tea Party. Luckily, he's backed up by a college professor who apparently knows something about the word "break" that none of us other people (including Merriam-Webster) knew.

But these guys are mainly celebutards, a group that does not necessarily belong exclusively to the libtard category (see, e.g., Pat Robertson, Courtney Stoddards). The scarier people are the ones that actually get elected. Like...

Alan Grayson : Grayson, the former Democratic Congressman from Florida and candidate to say "Duh, George" while aggressively petting a bunny at any given moment, is an extreme example of the libtard elected official. I have written about him a few times before. I think my favorite scumbag move of his was trying to get jail time for a constituent who campaigned against him. Grayson's views on government health care and the insane rhetoric he would resort to are echoed by...

Nancy Pelosi : Former Speaker of the House and current minority leader, the congresswoman from California can't be dismissed as a simple anomaly. Yet when a bill passes to ensure Obamacare doesn't utilize public funds for abortions, Ms. Pelosi immediately jumped to saying that the bill would lead to women dying on the floors of hospitals. That seems almost reasonable by comparison to...

Vice President Joe Biden : In all fairness, Vice President Biden has been known more for his gaffes in public speaking that any actual substance he possesses. But, as I noted previously, Mr. Biden intimated that if the President's "jobs" bill wasn't passed, there would be an increase in rapes and murders in Flint. Of course, it's only conservatives that use scare tactics (did you see that guy just push that old lady in the wheelchair over a cliff?)

So there you have it. Libtard defined.

  1. I don't care what anyone does or says or thinks, it is never ok to call someone a retard or term derived from retard. It is a slur on people with mental retardation and therefore a form of bigotry. Just say you disagree or think they are uninformed and set about informing them, ok? All of the people unfortunate enough to be born with brain damage that significantly hinders their every day activities, along with their friends and family who love, them, thank you in advance.

    1. It's never okay to delete a word from the language for the sake of political correctness or to do so to prevent people being offended. First, it inhibits thought. Second, it is much easier to identify bigots if they are allowed to speak, so we can avoid them. Teasing a disabled person is inappropriate. Writing a humorous post about the politically mentally disabled is not the same.
